Mother & Child Necklace: symbolizing that special connection...

A lovely Akoya pearl hangs beneath a silver shell. The shell symbolizes "mother" and the pearl, her child (or children).

Pearls are created from clams ... living creatures whose shells you can see at the beach. This shell was picked up on a long walk down Redondo Beach in California. Later, a mold was made to capture all the natural details of the shell before casting it in sterling silver. The pendant design was then completed with a lovely Akoya pearl (AA grade). Finally, it's hung on a 16" sterling silver cable chain.
