Ginkgo Leaf Necklace: Beauty and Resilience Embodied

While walking around my local streets this autumn, I noticed a gingko leaf on the sidewalk. It had a beautiful fan shape, unusual and distinctive. That inspired me to create this new pendant.
Ginkgo Trees are an amazing species. Around since the time of the dinosaurs, they still survive today. They are long lived, with some current ones over 1,000 years old.
Not surprisingly, the tree and leaves are often thought to symbolize resilience and longevity.
Even without the history and the symbolism, they are simply beautiful, with those delicate fan shaped leaves. I tried to capture that light, graceful shape by adding transparency to this design.
The pendant is 3/4" x 7/8" and cast in solid Sterling Silver. It's available with a 16" or 18" sterling silver chain.
